I attempting to get a meeting together for Mkebots. Tom G has a nice large workroom and workshop at his home in Greenfield and has offered to let us meet there this Nov 8th, a Saturday. We'd meet from 10AM to 4PM or so. We'd talk about robots, talk about the club, and finish up any incomplete BarCampLine followers.

is the place where the Milwaukee Robotics Club will try to get itself launched. Barcamp is an unconference where local technology professionals give a series of one-hour talks on all manner of topics. I, Royce Pipkins, will host two sessions:
In the first session well review how robot robot builders go about making their creations. In the second we'll actually build and program a line following robot over three hours.
BarCamp goes on at Bucketworks from Oct 4 through the 5th, all day. The exact time of my sessions is still to be determined.
Update: BarCamp was a sucess for the club. Check out some photos here. Also note that there is an attachment with the source code and executables for the line follower. There are three versions: a BASCOM simplistic program , a BASCOM PID based program and and Arduino port of the simplistic program.
